Flitesoft is a Windows-based flight planning program which provides graphic, automatic, and manual flight planning as well as extensive weather information, weight and balance checks, and other related support functions. Flitesoft combines FAA data with data obtained from other government and private sources to create an unlimited variety of solutions for complex flight planning requirements. See a sample operation here.

Flitesoft is compatible with Windows Vista.

Flitesoft's Update Service includes program and data updates, plus direct access to current Sectional, Low enroute, High enroute, Terminal Area, and Flyway charts. The Update Service for Flitesoft Professional costs $119 per year.

Flitesoft's Approach Update Service provides over 12,000 current approach charts for the US (50 states) on CD every 28 days (13 CDs per year) for $119/year.

NEW! Live Weather - an Internet-based system that gathers nationwide (48 states) NexRad radar, METARs, TAFs, winds aloft, weather maps, and other weather products automatically and updates these data on a regular schedule. Once enabled, it is always working in the background and is always available and current. You might be checking weight & balance, for example, and notice that the Chart's weather overlay updates without any action on your part. This is normal - Live Weather operates automatically without any access code, password, fee, advertising, cookies, or obligation.
Flitesoft's Weather Conditions function combines current conditions, forecast conditions, and your planned route to create a unique and exclusive picture of weather conditions throughout your flight. With the time slider set to the left side, current conditions (METARs) are shown. When the slider is moved to the right, forecast conditions (TAFs) are updated for each hour into the future and an aircraft symbol moves along the flight path. Weather symbols around the aircraft reflect forecast conditions at the aircraft's location at the time the aircraft will be there.
The Chart's Icing Potential feature graphically shows the percentage probability of picking up ice at any location across the US (48 states) at any selected altitude.
Flitesoft's Winds feature shows winds aloft at any selected altitude and surface winds with standard pennants and barbs. Surface winds are shown in red if they exceed 19 kts.

Chart Flitesoft's Chart provides point-and-click as well as rubber band routing, instant access to waypoint data, and a surprising amount of information such as terrain elevations, obstructions, weather graphics, and airspace altitudes and hours of operation.
Worksheet
Flitesoft's Worksheet resembles a spreadsheet and is the ideal way to plan flights manually, to check waypoint data, and to see automatically-calculated results.
