ExpressTM is a flight planning and moving map program which runs on the Android operating system (version 2.2 or later). A wide variety of devices ranging from smartphones and 7 inch tablets up through 10 inch tablets, run Android and are compatible with Express. These devices are are ideal for pilots because they are small, fast, lightweight, and have very readable screens. Smaller units are easy to yoke mount.
Express does NOT work on the iPhone or iPad. Apple does not support the Android operating system.
Express is ideal with desktop Flitesoft because
- Flitesoft updates cover both Flitesoft and Express
- Flitesoft and Express provide the same calculated results
Express includes a moving map function. Many Android devices have a built-in GPS; others support remote Bluetooth GPS units.

The Flight Log shows calculated results for your planned flight.
Express supports detailed terrain information and can also show road maps, which can come in very handy when you're flying into a new airport.

Important notes:
Express requires a minimum of 1 GB of free storage. Additonal storage is required for charts such as sectionals or approaches. External SD cards are fully supported.
